(This note is not part of the Regulations)
These Regulations make minor amendments to the Childcare (Supply and Disclosure of Information) (England) Regulations 2007, the Childcare (Early Years and General Childcare Registers) (Common Provisions) Regulations 2008 and the Childcare (Childminder Agencies) (Registration, Inspection and Supply and Disclosure of Information) Regulations 2014.
The amendments relate to the reference to a national authority of a member state of the European Economic Area, which has functions comprising the regulation of childcare. The amendments reflect the position after the UK leaves the European Union on 29th March 2019, so that national authorities of EEA states will in each case continue to be "prescribed persons".
