Her Majesty, in exercise of the powers in section 2(5)(b) and (6) of the Health Service Commissioners Act 1993( 1), is pleased, by and with the advice of Her Privy Council, to order, and it is ordered, as follows:
1. This Order may be cited as the Health Service Commissioner for England (Special Health Authorities) Order 2020 and comes into force on 1st February 2021.
2. The NHS Counter Fraud Authority( 2) is designated as a Special Health Authority to which section 2(1) of the Health Service Commissioners Act 1993 (bodies subject to investigation by the Health Service Commissioner for England) applies.

This Order designates the Special Health Authority, the NHS Counter Fraud Authority, as a health service body subject to investigation by the Health Service Commissioner for England under section 2 of the Health Service Commissioners Act 1993.
1993 c. 46; section 2(5)(b) was amended by section 152 of, and paragraph 3(3) of Schedule 10 and paragraph 1 of Part I of Schedule 18 to, the Government of Wales Act 1998 (c. 38); section 2(6) was substituted by paragraph 31(4) of Schedule 6 to the Public Services Ombudsman (Wales) Act 2005 (c. 10).
