Coming into force in accordance with regulation 1
The Secretary of State in exercise of the powers conferred by section 8(1) of the European Union (Withdrawal) Act 2018(1) makes the following Regulations.
The requirements of paragraph 3(2) of Schedule 7 to that Act (relating to the appropriate Parliamentary procedure for these Regulations) have been satisfied.
1. These Regulations may be cited as the Single Digital Gateway Regulation (Revocation) (EU Exit) Regulations 2020 and come into force on IP completion day.
2. In Regulation (EU) 2018/1724 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 2 October 2018 establishing a single digital gateway to provide access to information, to procedures and to assistance and problem-solving services and amending Regulation (EU) No 1024/2012, omit-
(a)Articles 1 to 5;
(b)Articles 7 to 12;
(c)Articles 14(9) and (11);
(d)Articles 16 to 37;
(e)Article 39.
3. In Regulation (EU) No 1024/2012 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 25 October 2012 on administrative cooperation through the Internal Market Information System and repealing Commission Decision 2008/49/EC (‘the IMI Regulation'), omit paragraph 12 of the Annex.

These Regulations are made in exercise of the powers conferred by section 8(1) of the European Union (Withdrawal) Act 2018 (c. 16) in order to address failures of retained EU law to operate effectively and other deficiencies (in particular under sections 8(2)(a), 8(2)(b) and 8(2)(d)) arising from the withdrawal of the UK from the European Union.
Regulation (EU) 2018/1724 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 2 October 2018 establishing a single digital gateway to provide access to information, to procedures and to assistance and problem-solving services and amending Regulation (EU) No 1024/2012 ("Regulation (EU) 2018/1724") facilitates online access to information, administrative procedures and assistance services for citizens and businesses.
Regulation 2 revokes those articles of Regulation (EU) 2018/1724 which are in force and apply immediately before IP completion day and constitute retained EU law under section 3(1) of the European Union (Withdrawal) Act 2018.
Regulation 3 revokes a provision in Regulation (EU) No 1024/2012 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 25 October 2012 on administrative cooperation through the Internal Market Information System and repealing Commission Decision 2008/49/EC (‘the IMI Regulation') which refers to Regulation (EU) 2018/1724.
A full impact assessment has not been produced for this instrument as no, or no significant, impact on the private, voluntary or public sector is foreseen.
