The Office for Students, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 45(1) of the Higher Education and Research Act 2017(1), makes the following Order:
1. This Order may be cited as the Power to Award Degrees etc. (The Ashridge (Bonar Law Memorial) Trust) Order of Council 2014 (Amendment) Order 2020 and shall come into force on 1st September 2020.
2.-(1) The Power to Award Degrees etc. (The Ashridge (Bonar Law Memorial) Trust) Order of Council 2014 is varied in accordance with paragraph (2).
(2) For paragraph 2, substitute-
"2. The Ashridge (Bonar Law Memorial) Trust (also known as ‘Ashridge') shall be competent to grant awards of the kind mentioned in paragraph (a) of section 76(2) of the said Act for a fixed seven- year term beginning on 1st September 2014 and expiring on 31st August 2021."

This Order, made under section 45(1) of the Higher Education and Research Act 2017, provides for a variation of the Power to Award Degrees etc. (Ashridge (Bonar Law Memorial) Trust) Order of Council 2014, so that Ashridge (Bonar Law Memorial) Trust's existing Degree Awarding Powers authorisation remain valid until 31st August 2021. This Order will come into force on 1st September 2020.
An impact assessment has not been produced for this instrument as it has no impact on businesses and civil society organisations. The instrument has no impact on the public sector.
