Coming into force
with immediate effect
The Secretary of State has decided that it is necessary in the public interest to revoke the restriction on flying regulations for aircraft on scheduled services which are owned, chartered or operated by a person connected with Belarus, or which are registered in Belarus.
The Secretary of State makes the following Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred by article 239 of the Air Navigation Order 2016( 1).
1. These Regulations may be cited as the Air Navigation (Restriction of Flying) (Belarusian Aircraft) (Revocation) Regulations 2022 and they come into force with immediate effect.
2. The Air Navigation (Restriction of Flying) (Belarusian Aircraft) Regulations 2021( 2) are revoked.

These Regulations revoke the statutory instrument which imposed restrictions on the flying in United Kingdom airspace, including in the airspace above the United Kingdom’s territorial sea, by aircraft on scheduled services which are owned, chartered or operated by a person connected with Belarus, or which are registered in Belarus ( S.I. 2021/1475). Those Regulations are no longer considered necessary and are revoked.
S.I. 2016/765, to which there are amendments not relevant to these Regulations.
