The National Assembly for Wales, in exercise of the powers conferred upon the Secretary of State by sections 75 and 104(1) of the New Roads and Street Works Act 1991[1] and which are now exercisable by it in relation to Wales[2], hereby makes the following Regulations:
Citation, commencement and application
1.
- (1) These Regulations may be cited as the Street Works (Inspection Fees) (Amendment) (Wales) Regulations 2001 and they come into force on the 1 August 2001.
(2) These Regulations apply to Wales.
Increase in the inspection fee
2.
In regulation 3(1) of the Street Works (Inspection Fees) Regulations 1992[3] there shall be substituted for the figure of "£14.50" there the figure of "£15.50".
Revocation
3.
The Street Works (Inspection Fees) (Amendment) Regulations 1998[4] are revoked so far as they apply to Wales.

EXPLANATORY NOTE
(This note is not part of the Regulations)
These Regulations provide for an increase from £14.50 to £15.50 in the fee payable by undertakers for inspections of their work by street authorities in Wales under regulation 3(1) of the Street Works (Inspection Fees) Regulations 1992 (S.I. 1992/1688). The Street Works (Inspection Fees) (Amendment) Regulations 1998 (S.I. 1998/978) (which provided for an earlier increase in the fee) are revoked so far as they apply to Wales.
