The Education (School Inspection) (Amendment) (Wales) Regulations 2004

  Made 16th March 2004 
  Coming into force 1st September 2004 

The National Assembly for Wales makes the following Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred on the Secretary of State by sections 15(2), 17(2)(a), 21(2)(a) and 45(3) of, and paragraphs 2(2) and 3(1) of Schedule 4 to the Schools Inspection Act 1996[1], and now vested in it[2].

Name, commencement, application
     1.  - (1) These Regulations are called the Education (School Inspection) (Amendment) (Wales) Regulations 2004 and come into force on 1st September 2004.

    (2) They apply only in relation to Wales.

Amendment of the Education (School Inspection) (Wales) Regulations 1998
    
2.  - (1) The Education (School Inspection) (Wales) Regulations 1998[3] are amended as follows.

    (2) In regulation 7(2) -

    (4) In regulation 13(2) - 

    (5) In regulation 13(3) -

EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the Regulations)


These Regulations amend the Education (School Inspection) (Wales) Regulations 1998 so as to change the period within which an inspection report must be completed to 35 working days in every case, and the period within which an action plan must be prepared to 45 working days in every case.
