SAVINGS CERTIFICATES (NINTH ISSUE) (AMENDMENT) RULES, 1980. |

I, MICHEÁL Ó CINNÉIDE, Minister for Finance, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 30 (2) of the Finance Act, 1940 (No. 14 of 1940), hereby make the following rules: |
||
1. (1) These Rules may be cited as the Savings Certificates (Ninth Issue) (Amendment) Rules, 1980. |
||
(2) The Savings Certificates (Ninth Issue) Rules, 1973 and 1978 and these Rules may be cited together as the Savings Certificates (Ninth Issue) Rules, 1973 and 1980. |
||
2. These Rules shall come into operation on the 1st day of March, 1980. |
||
3. Rule 5 of the Savings Certificates (Ninth Issue) Rules, 1973, ( S.I. No. 291 of 1973 ) shall have effect as if "£15,000" were substituted for "£7,500" (inserted by the Savings Certificates (Ninth Issue) (Amendment) Rules, 1978 ( S.I. No. 27 of 1978 )). |

EXPLANATORY NOTE. |
||
The purpose of these Rules is to increase the maximum holding of the ninth issue of savings certificates from £7,500 to £15,000 from 1st March, 1980. |
